How to work with us

Three routes to engage UKEM

Whichever procurement route fits your programme, we have the structure and compliance behind us to move quickly from award to site.

  • Pre-qualified on DPS frameworks

We are an approved supplier on multiple Dynamic Purchasing Systems, so your procurement team can award work through compliant, audited routes.

  • Direct local authority delivery

We deliver directly for councils across England and the Midlands, from single estates to full portfolio retrofit programmes.

  • Delivery partner model

We work alongside housing associations, Net Zero Hubs, and retrofit coordinators to deliver measures at pace across whole portfolios.

How we deliver

A turnkey partner from scope to aftercare

We manage every stage of the retrofit journey, so clients get a seamless end-to-end service without coordinating multiple contractors or suppliers.

  1. Plan the project

We shape strategy, identify targets, and align with delivery partners on scope, eligibility, and programme milestones.

  2. Engage residents

Our marketing and outreach teams handle eligibility checks, appointments, and resident communications to maximise participation.

  3. Survey and design

Accredited assessors complete PAS 2035 assessments, EPCs, and technical surveys to design the right measures for each home.

  4. Installation

Our national delivery network installs insulation, ventilation, heating, and low-carbon technologies with minimal disruption.

  5. Quality assurance and reporting

We manage compliance, auditing, H&S, and post-installation checks, then report progress, capture data, and provide funding evidence packs.

  6. Aftercare

Residents receive ongoing support, warranty guidance, and issue resolution so performance holds up beyond handover.

Our impact

30,000+ installations and counting

Since 2017, we have delivered energy-saving measures to homes in almost every region of England, Scotland, and Wales. From city centres to rural villages, our teams have worked across hundreds of local authority areas, fitting insulation, boilers, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers.

Our interactive heatmap shows every area where we have completed installations, so procurement teams can see real coverage, not claims.

Social value

We invest in the communities we work in

Being dedicated to making a positive social difference runs through our DNA. Alongside energy-efficiency measures, we fund and partner on community initiatives where our work happens.

Senior residents and community members at a UKEM supported social event
6,000 community warm meals paid for and delivered
Warm hub activity with UKEM staff and local residents in a community space
500 hours of warm hub activity in the town and surrounding areas
Adult player in black and white kit with number 5 celebrating on the pitch
300 children's coaching sessions delivered in school holidays
Children's football team in yellow UKEM kits in front of a goal on a pitch
3 home-city grassroots football teams sponsored
Spennymoor FC children's team in green kits with a trophy in a sports hall
600 children benefiting from qualified sports coaching and provision

On the ground in County Durham

We sponsor Spennymoor Town FC because the club matters to people in the towns where many of our team live. The funding goes to work that happens off the pitch as much as on it, reaching neighbours who too often miss out:

  • Youth, female, and disability sport
  • Warm space provision
  • Loneliness reduction
  • Fuel poverty partnerships
  • Hot meal provision
