What is the ECO3 Scheme?
Launched in 2013, ECO3 is a government energy efficiency scheme, designed to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions across Great Britain. The scheme provides grants for low income, vulnerable or fuel poor homes so they can access funding for an upgraded heating system. Under ECO3, medium and large energy suppliers provide fully funded installation of energy efficient systems for households across Britain.
Each obligated supplier has a target to meet (based on their share of the domestic energy market) and they work with installers to introduce energy efficient measures to British homes. These include things like loft or wall insulation, or upgraded electric heating systems.
How we’ve helped our customers
We’ve already made £72,689,208 lifetime savings across the country in 2021 alone (figures up to 10/10/21). We’ve provided 5,731 installations (of either insulation or heating systems) during the same period and we expect to install many more as we head into the colder months.
